IDENTITY STATEMENT

The Adventist AIDS International Ministry (AAIM) is an international ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that brings hope, love and compassionate care and support to the people touched by the HIV epidemic. It serves the territory of the sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean.

OUR MISSION

To coordinate actions and resources to bring comfort, healing and hope to people infected and/or affected by HIV/AIDS, share a message of education and prevention to the general population, and present a united front in order to accomplish what our Lord Jesus Christ has commissioned each of us to do.

OUR VISION

AAIM is creating "Centres of Hope and Healing" through our network of churches, medical and educational institutions, and church members. AAIM is mobilizing our congregations through church based support groups. AAIM is bringing practical solutions to the infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. AAIM is applying the practical Gospel of Jesus-Christ, field by field, church by church, person by person, on a one to one basis. AAIM is committed to the social responsibility of our church. AAIM is helping to make a new generation free of AIDS!

OUR LOGO

At AAIM we believe that our logo (as seen below) provides a concise picture of our values and goals. In the foreground we see an upright cross surrounded by the Three Angels’ Messages of Hope (Revelation 14: 6-12); central to our hope and faith. Behind the cross and falling under the shadow of the cross, is the red ribbon of AIDS; this illustrates how on the cross Jesus defeated death. At the foot of the cross, we find AAIM, which is where by His grace we hope to stay, and to where we hope to lead others.
